Couples often ask me ”when should we have the first dance” within the timeline of events during their wedding reception.  My response is there really is no correct answer.  There are some typical times in which couple’s do their first dance, including (1) immediately upon their arrival and announcement as a couple at the reception (2) immediately after the toasts or (3) immediately after dinner.  Which of these you choose – or if you choose another time altogether to insert your first dance, is really up to you and your fiance.  Unlike many choices you will make as a future bride, for this one, you really can’t go wrong!
